Our treatments
Areola micro-pigmentation
Semi-permanent makeup pigments are implanted into the skin to restore/enhance the appearance of the areola and nipple. This medical tattooing treatment works really well on a wide range of clients and is the ideal long-term solution to get more confidence in your appearance. Areola tattooing requires advance knowledge and training in dermal micropigmentation.
Areola and nipple micropigmentation is done with a cosmetic tattoo machine. We use a fine needle to deposit pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. With our new advanced semi-permanent cosmetic techniques we can create 3D areolas that look completely natural. Two sessions are recommended 1 -3 months apart for the best results. The areola pigmentation treatment is almost painless and lasts for approximately 1 -3 years or lomger before a colour boost may be needed.

Consultation, treatment & aftercare:
Before Kathryn starts doing any cosmetic treatment she has an in depth consultation with her client to make sure we meet your expectations. All clients are dealt with in a sensitive and compassionate manner. We offer a number of areola tattoo techniques and we will discuss what treatment will work best for you. Annette will guide you through the medical tattoo treatment process and answer all questions you might have Kathryn offers expert areola re-pigmentation treatments and you can rest assure that you are in safe hands. You will have the option for a patch test if you have any concerns of an allergic reaction. If not, the procedure can be done on the same day.
Moving on to the pre-drawing, Kathryn takes her time in doing the structure and measurements with a pencil to create the perfect symmetry. Once we have agreed on the shape, we will apply the numbing cream that stays on for 20 minutes. During this time we will select the custom blend colour pigment to compliment /match your areola colour.
We use high quality medical grade pigments that are hypo allergenic and sterilized needles for single use only. During the treatment we will use a secondary anaesthetic to control the sensation.
You can expect the treated area to be slightly red immediately after the procedure and this will disappear after a few hours. The areola tattoo will appear darker immediately after the treatment and will lose up to 50% of the intensity of the colour after 1 week once the scabs/dry skin have cleared up. During this time (1st week) it is recommended to avoid touching the area, use cosmetic creams, sunbathing or wet the area. Do not pick the scabs as this will result in pigment loss. We will provide you with an aftercare balm and light dressing that needs to be applied with a clean cotton bud once or twice a day. It takes up to 4 – 6 weeks for the pigmented area to settle and completely heal. We will book in your top up appointment 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment. In some cases the skin does not retain the implanted pigment as well. (Pigment retention can be influenced by unhealthy/damaged skin)
Skin texture, exposure to sun (use SPF while sunbathing), exfoliation products and skin lightening products like Vitamin A and retinol can affect the longevity of your areola tattoo. Avoid applying these creams on the cosmetic tattoo. We recommend a yearly colour boost to keep your cosmetic tattoo at its best.

Ombre combination brow
The word Ombre means ‘shadow’ in French. The beauty industry uses this word to describe effects which transition from dark to light.
Ombre eyebrows give a more natural looking eyebrow. It works well on the majority of skins and is versatile because it can be used to create a natural translucent look or a made-up look.
The effect is achieved by applying layers of pigment to create the illusion of a gradient fade with depth and darkness. Some hairstrokes, using microblading techniques, are created at the inner part of the eyebrow to give a more natural appearance.
We use a fine tattoo needle to deposit pigment in the upper dermal layers of the skin. The results are full, perfectly shaped and symmetrical eyebrows. The treatment also benefits people with hair loss conditions like allopecia and trichotillomania as well as those who have lost or might lose their eyebrows due to chemotherapy.
Most women naturally loose some eyebrow definition during menopause or with conditions such as hypothyroidism. Our eyebrow techniques can be a solution to this creating a more youthful eyebrow appearance.
This treatment is also ideal for sports people who sweat a lot, or those who swim regularly, who want to maintain a made up full eyebrow during these activities.
Things to remember before your treatment:
- Avoid sunbathing, waxing, skin peels around the area, laser treatments or eyebrow tinting at least 2 weeks before your treatment.
- No alcohol, caffeine or blood thinning (for example aspirin) medicines 24 hours before your treatment.
- Inflamed skin (on the eyebrow area).
- Area will be red and swollen after treatment, so take this in consideration when you make your booking.
- Do not discontinue any medication without your doctor’s consent.
- You cannot donate blood up to 6 months after your treatment.
- Fillers and botox treatments should be carried out after your semi permanent makeup treatment and not before.

She will guide you through the semi permanent makeup treatment process and answer all questions you might have. Moving on to the pre-drawing, Kathryn takes her time in doing the structure and measurements with an eyebrow pencil to create the perfect shape that compliments her client’s facial features. Eyebrows play an important role to give balance to the face and the pre-drawing can take anywhere from 10 – 30 (if not longer) minutes to get the shape and symmetry perfect. This is the most important part of the procedure and you can be confident that you are in safe hands. Once we have agreed on the shape, we will apply the numbing cream that stays on for 20 minutes. During this time we will select the colour pigment to compliment your eyebrows and skin colour. We use high quality pigments that are hypo allergenic and sterilized needles for single use only. Implanting the hair strokes/shading takes from 45 minutes to 1 and a half hours. During the treatment we will use a secondary anaesthetic to control the sensation.
You can expect the area around your eyebrows to be slightly red immediately after the procedure and this will disappear after a few hours. The eyebrow tattoo will appear slightly darker immediately after the treatment and will lose up to 40% of the intensity of the colour after 1 week once the scabs/dry skin have cleared up. During this time (1st week) it is recommended to avoid touching the area, use cosmetic creams on the eyebrow area, sunbathing or wet the eyebrow area. It takes up to 4 – 6 weeks for the colour to settle and completely heal. We will book in your top up appointment 4-6 weeks after your initial eyebrow treatment as you may have areas that need more pigment added. This is also the perfect time to make minor adjustments to the shape and colour if need be. (Pigment retention can be influenced by after care, skin type, medication and immune system.) If skin retention is poor, in some cases a 3rd session is required. (This rarely happens).
Microblading typically lasts 12 months. Oily skin, skin texture, exposure to sun (use SPF while sunbathing), exfoliation products and skin lightening products like Vitamin A and retinol can affect the longevity of your eyebrow tattoo. Avoid applying these creams on the cosmetic tattoo. We recommend a yearly colour boost to keep your cosmetic tattoo at its best.
Microblading is not recommended for people with very/excessive oily skin. We recommend you look at the powder brow option.
Candidates not suitable for microblading:
- persons under the age of 18 years
- pregnant or breastfeeding
- viral infections
- epilepsy
- Roaccutane in the last 12 months
- prone to keloid/hypotrophic scarringauto-immune disorders
- chemotherapy treatment in the last 6 months (unless with doctor’s consent)
- any medication that have blood thinning properties
- any person with a pacemaker, ICD or heart conditions
- skin inflammation around the treatment area

Eyelash enhancement and tattoo eyeliner
Putting on eyeliner every morning is time consuming. We all have mornings where the application of this is messy or we smudge it during the day. Our semi-permanent eyeliner treatments are a solution to this. These treatments accentuate the shape and size of the eyes and can also give the impression of volume, which enhances the eyelashes, making them look fuller and thicker.
This treatment creates a look that enhances the eyes all day long.
Depending on which enhancement is desired micropigments are deposited into the upper dermal layers of the eyelid, either upper, lower or both, using a fine tattoo needle. A local anaesthetic is applied to the area before hand. The treatment takes between 1 to 1 ½ hours.

Semi Permanent Lips
Semi-permanent lips are the ideal solution for youthful lips and more confidence in your appearance. As we mature we lose definition of the lip line. The natural pigments in your lip line break up and become uneven. With semi-permanent lips you can restore your lip line and create more fullness to your lips. Lip enhancement also works really well on any person who wants to create more symmetry or add more colour to pale lips. The lip micro-pigmentation treatment also benefits people who suffers from cleft lip by creating a cupids bow and adding pigment into the vermilion border.
All lip micropigmentation is done with a cosmetic tattoo machine that implants a fine powder mist in the upper layer of the lip tissue.
Blush lips
Good looking lips compliment the face and by adding more colour and volume it can make a big difference to the appearance of the facial features and skin tone. This semi-permanent makeup treatment works especially well on people who have pale lips and just lack some colour. With our new pixel permanent cosmetic techniques we can create soft smudge proof lip makeup that lasts and still look completely natural. Please allow 1 hours for this treatment.
Contour and lip tint
This lip enhancement technique is suitable for all lips and face shapes. We create a natural looking lip line with soft shading to create more definition and volume. Please allow 2 hours for this treatment.
Things to remember before your treatment:
- Avoid sunbathing, laser treatments or waxing around the lip area at least 2 weeks before your treatment.
- No alcohol, caffeine or blood thinning (for example aspirin) medicines 24 hours before your treatment.
